This is just the beginning.
Gathered is co-hosted by Kim Hallwood and Carmen Turner, two women who’ve built their careers leading sustainability at complex global organizations and are now advising companies on sustainability and coaching high-performing leaders.
Gathered was born when Kim and Carmen re-connected at a sauna boat event in 2025. They noticed that when you create the right environment — rooted in nature, focused on wellbeing, away from the usual noise — the conversation just hits different. You walk away with clarity, feeling lit up and supported by women who get it. That feeling can be rare in this work.
Kim and Carmen believe these spaces fuel greater impact — and they wanted to build a community worthy of the women doing it.

Kim Hallwood
Co-Founder, GatheredFor nearly two decades, Kim has been leading sustainability from the inside out— working directly with boards, executive teams, and cross-functional leaders to drive real, lasting impact.
Kim co-founded Gathered after founding her own consultancy, Hallwood Sustainability, a career pivot that was inspired and supported through connection with other women in sustainability navigating similar challenges.
Co-Founder, GatheredCarmen Turner
Carmen spent nearly 20+ years in corporate sustainability seeing patterns where leaders are under pressure to deliver results — without the mandate, alignment, or executive backing to do it effectively. She works to support leaders reposition sustainability as a business-critical function and reclaim the authority required to lead it.
Carmen co-founded Gathered after experiencing first-hand the challenges that women in sustainability face and the lack of community support.
